Clasp Options |
- Magnetic is the easiest to use. This is a good option
if you know you will always want the necklace at the same
length. I use strong magnets that will not come undone
during normal wear, but they can be pulled off by children. (Ask
me how I know this...)
- Toggle is a clasp with a large silver circle on one end and
a bar on the other. You turn the bar parallel to the
necklace chain to insert into the circle and then pull it
perpendicular to hold the necklace on. I consider this the
second easiest to use. Again, this is a good option if you
don't need flexibility of length.
- Lobster claw with chain extender is a great option for
flexibility. I usually add this clasp to shorter necklaces
so that they can be worn choker style or anywhere up to 2 inches
longer. A lobster claw clasp is tear drop shaped with a
small lever that is pushed down to open it.
- Elastic is an option also. If you would like me to
string a piece on elastic instead of wire then you can forego a
clasp altogether. Please be advised that over time
depending upon use, elastic can stretch and break.
(Usually at an inopportune time that doesn't allow you to
collect all the fallen beads making reconstruction difficult.)
These options are available for all necklaces and bracelets.
If you would like a clasp different than what is described for the
piece you order, just include that info with your quote request sent
